Myrtis McClellan

Myrtis (Nadine) McClellan, 76, died on Aug. 27, 2010, in Shreveport after a lengthy illness. She was characterized best by her strong love for people, especially her children and grandchildren. She had a great love for the outdoors and all the beautiful things that God surrounds us with.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carol McClellan; and son, Kerry Lane Johnson.

She is survived by one daughter, Mona Lynn Boatman and husband, Rayford, of Zwolle; four sons, James Johnson of Many, William Johnson and wife, Donna, of Shelbyville, Texas; Robert Johnson and wife, Francinete, of Natchitoches; and John Tedder and wife, Rebecca, of Zwolle; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were held on Aug. 31 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Many with Bishop Ross Vincent officiating. Burial followed at Ft. Jesup Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Matthew Tedder, Jonathan Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Corey Johnson, Jason McCain, Kennon Grayson and Justin Grayson. Honorary pallbearers were David Rivers and Eric Hayes.
