Sarah Ritter Teal

Sarah Ritter Teal, 76, of Many died on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Willis Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport. She was born March 12, 1934, in Many.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 27 at First Baptist Church of Many with the Rev. Bill Hines officiating. Interment will follow at Many Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E.P. and Louvina Ross Ritter, and son, Edwin Teal, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Teal of Many; son, Greg Teal of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Donna Holley and husband, Patrick, of Lufkin, Texas; brother, E.P. Ritter, Jr., of Ponchatoula; step-granddaughter, Tanya Holley; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Knippers, Don Ross, Dr. David Horner, Clauriste Byles, Mark Jordan, Pete Abington, Robert Dale Geoghagan and Robert Ammons. Honorary pallbearers will be Alfice Brumley and Dr. Hollis Bray.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Many or the charity of one’s choice.
