Fairgrounds lease favored

During the Wednesday, Aug. 18, meeting of the Sabine Parish Police Jury, Mayor Ken Freeman addressed the members regarding the lease agreement between the town of Many and the Sabine Parish Fair Board.

The lease agreement is still in the early stage but if favored by those involved it would give the town of Many rights and responsibilities for the upkeep and maintenance of the fair grounds. After hearing from Freeman and members of the Fair Board the Jury voiced their support for the endeavor. The next step in the process will be having attorneys complete the legal aspect of the lease agreement.
