Pine Belt in Many will begin distributing USDA donated food commodities to needy families under the Emergency Food Assistance Program on Aug. 25-26.
August 25 is for all registered people, while Aug. 26 will be used for walk-ins.
Pine Belt will distribute commodities from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Aug. 25 and on Aug. 26 from 8 a.m. until supplies are exhausted.
All walk-ins must bring a current proof of income and identification. You must also bring someone to carry commodities if you are unable to.
They will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis to all registered applicants.
Rules for acceptance and participation in the program are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex or handicap. Any person alleging discrimination may file a written or verbal complaint within 180 days of the alleged discriminatory action with Pine Belt or the La.
