One-Vehicle accident claims Singletary

At 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, 56-year-old Bennie Ray Singletary of Florien died in a one-vehicle accident after the Dodge pickup he was driving left the roadway and hit a tree in Caddo Parish.

Singletary was traveling north on Keithville-Keatchie Road when the accident happened, according to a news release from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Singletary was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, Cedric Rogers, 29, of Hemphill, Texas, was taken to LSU Health Sciences Center by Life Air for treatment.
