Many Nazarenes have busy summer, upcoming VBS

The Many Church of the Nazarene is concluding a busy summer with Vacation Bible School, set to begin on Aug. 2 at 6 p.m.

Robert Brown traveled to Pineville to be a counselor at the church’s youth, boys and girls camps this summer. The youth and children had a great time as they participated in games, crafts, Bible study, worship and a mission project in the Alexandria area. He works with the church’s youth every Wednesday night at 6 p.m. as they fellowship and study God’s word together.

The youth group also had an exciting weekend revival during the summer that was enjoyed by young and old alike.

Brown’s wife, Danielle, works with the children and their special SARC Bible Study each week. Every Sunday morning, she leads the children in a special children’s praise team for the congregation. The children are a special blessing as they sing and provide motions for many of the children’s praise songs they present each week.

Mrs. Brown will also lead the church’s “High Seas Expedition” Vacation Bible School this year, which promises to be an exciting time of crafts, Bible study, games, fellowship and more.

On Saturday, July 31, the children and adults will have a VBS parade that will help those in the neighborhood remember the start of VBS on Monday, Aug. 2 at 6 p.m.

A closing service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. at the church, which is located at 225 Highland Drive, across from Sabine Medical Center.

Pastor Daniel Lowe invites everyone to come and be part of this special event. For more information, please contact the church at 318-256-2291.
