James Kenneth Shipp
James Kenneth Shipp, 84, of Many died on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles.
He was born on Feb. 3, 1926, in DeRidder.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on July 21 at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Negreet with the Rev. Jimmie Glover officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. on July 20 at Zion Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Minnie Shipp, and one son, Charles Shipp.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Catherine Shipp of Many; son, Kenneth Shipp and wife, Virginia, of Sulphur; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
