Dorsey Ann Ebarb received a $1,200 scholarship from the Las Vegas Press Club. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ebarb of Las Vegas and was born in Zwolle and attended Ebarb School before the family moved. Dorsey is a journalism major at the University of Nevada.
“Everyday Living” was the name of the weekly column written by the Rev. M.L. Boland, pastor of Zwolle’s First Baptist Church.
John Skinner, Sammy Beason, Wayne Ricks and Jimmy Campbell of the Mt. Carmel FFA attended the state convention in Shreveport.
West Dept. Store sponsored a Late Date Discount Sale from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with free coffee and gifts for the first 50 lady customers.
Strahan’s Roller Rink in Many had regular sessions from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday night was Ladies Night.

Pornographic books were confiscated from Head South Pawn Shop in Many by Many Police.
The search continues for a Zwolle woman who disappeared six weeks ago.
Heather Anderson, 6, of Zwolle was crowned Queen of the La. State Blue Bonnet Pageant.
Registrar of Voters Elmo Langton reported that there were 13,259 voters registered in Sabine Parish.
Alan Shepherd was the owner of Many Glass Co. on the Middle Creek Road.
Audrey’s Namebrand Shoes had a one-third off purses and shoe sale.
Madonna and Rosanna Arquette were starring in “Desperately Seeking Susan” at the Sabine Theater.
Pizza Hut featured a new item--the Priazzo. The new menu items was an Italian pie with a bottom crust. The top crust was filled with meat, cheese and tomato sauce. Yum!!
