It’s a boy!

Ever since we found out that Davy and KT were going to make us grandparents for the second time, we have been walking on Cloud Nine. Finally, Riley Kate’s dream of being a Big Sister was going to come true.

“Everybody wants a baby brother,” our precious four-year-old lamented recently. “I want a baby sister!”

Just recently a sonogram gave us the exciting news. Mother and I happened to be checking out in Walmart when the news was shared from the Proud Papa.

“Get out all the pink ,” Davy said, “and throw it away. It’s a boy!”
I should have known because all the indications were there.....a lot of morning sickness, a Grammie’s intuition; and because Mary Ellen said so!! My friend put her famous formula to the test and the results showed that we were going to have a boy!

Riley Kate went with Mommy and Daddy to the doctor’s appointment and was able to see her new sibling on the screen. I’m sure she was a little disappointed about the sex, but she quickly rebounded and said she was going to name the baby----Spiderman!!

Speaking of names, Grammie, Gram, Uncle Paul and Unkie have been thinking of names for several months now. No pressure...just suggestions!! Whatever HE is named, we are very excited about his October birth. Happiest of all, though, is Daddy Davy, because he’s gotten his Boy Scout!!
