Maggie Mae Blackwell, 89, of Milford, N.H., died on Friday, May 14, 2010, at her home, The Elms, with her family by her side. She had resided there the past 10 years. Prior to that she was a long-time resident of Many and a member of First Baptist Church.
Services will be held on May 20 at 11 a.m. at the Warren Meadows Chapel in Many with the Rev. Kenneth Leach officiating. Burial will follow at Many Cemetery.
She was born March 6, 1921, in Oakhurst, Texas, to John Roy and Ruth Gafford. She was a loving friend, mother, grandmother, sister and great-grandmother. She was a kind and caring woman, always ready to help and very caring of anyone in need.
She is survived by her sister, Juanita Ternes of Vancouver, Wash.; daughters, Carolyn Strout and husband, Terry, of Nashua, N.H.; Shirley Zabrowski and husband, Phil, Hephzibah, Ga.; granddaughter, Wendy Huckins and husband, Rob, of Milford, N.H.; and two great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Jackson Huckins.
Grieving alongside the family is the loving LNAs, nurses and other staff members at The Elms.
Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Strout, Phil Zabrowski, Scott Isgitt, Kenneth Leach, Kenny Leach and Terry Ebarb.
