Judith Ann Jones

Judith Ann Jones, 69, of Leesville died on May 3, 2010, at Byrd Regional Hospital.

She was born April 21, 1941, in Peason.

Services were held on May 6 at Prewitt’s Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Slaughter officiating. Interment followed at Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Winnie Browning Slaughter; son, Dale Jones; brother, Larry Slaughter; sister, Sharon Chance; and special friend, Dub Bailey.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Jones of Peason; daughters, Joyce Jones of Hornbeck, Susan Jones of Florien, and Sarah Jones of Leesville; brother, Clois Slaughter of LeCompte; sisters, Linda Stipes of Claremore, Okla., Gloria Camp of Weatherford, Texas, and Rachel Cuevas of San Marcos, Ca.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Al Cuevas, Philip Cristmann, Joey Gabler, Forest Rothwell, Lennie George, Derrick Wearthers, Steve Bailey and Sammy Goldstean.
