Letter to the editor
I paid $250 on my light bill at Valley Electric on April 5. Now I am forced with another light bill of $1,079. As I said in my last letter my light bills have went from $48 to $1,079. My light bills have went up and not away. They have gotten to the worst stages as they can. They really can not get any worse. I am writing this letter in concern for all members of Valley Electric of Natchitoches and all the Valley Electric companies of the world. Even when I pay $250 a month it still just keeps going up. They are robbing us with weapons.

Hi staff of Valley Electric, this is me again, Betty J. Williams. This is my continuation of my previous letter, Valley Electric we have a problem.

I have told you all before that I get SSI and Social Security, which is quite a ways from $700. Meaning it is quite a bit under $700 so I am trying by the grace of Go to pay you all $250 a month for the last three or four months. Still my light bill has gone up to $1,079. So it seems to me even the $250 that I have been paying and still is paying money, it is no help to my light bill.

It looks like to me you are just taking my $250 for nothing because my light bill is steadily going up. I also have told you all that my check comes on the first and the third of each month. My bills have went from $48 to $1,079. I just came over on April 5 and paid you all $250 so if you all do not mind, and if it is alright with you all I can not pay on my bill unit the fourth or fifth of May. Like I said, my light bills are steadily going up and not away.

I could say more but I will stop here. This is a copy of my letter for my appointment for energy assistance as you all can see it is for April 21. I go to the Pinebelt Office here in Many. So after my appointment I will let you all know the outcome. I think that the services at the DeSoto Parish Office of Community Services will notify you all again. May God bless you all.
