Dear Fellow Patriots,
We were watching the television the other morning and saw Obama say “America remains a super power whether we like it or not.” Immediately, we wondered what he meant by the statement.
We also had another side thought and the thought was, wonder what the brass in the Pentagon thought about the statement. We can only surmise the Pentagon probably quivered just a tad.
Now we know Obama likes a winner because of his appreciation for basketball and we wonder why this appreciation doesn’t transcend over to our military. Traditionally, Americans love a winner and find no favor in a loser.
Maybe the transition does not exist with Obama because he may not see the meaning of “deterrence” as clearly as those who may be more militarily aware.
America is a super power and we are proud of it. It is comforting to know that when you are the toughest kid on the block, nobody is going to mess with you and most everybody wants to be your friend. This is basic human nature and it has not changed since the dawn of mankind.
It is anyone right to be a pacifist if they so choose and we remind anyone who may choose to be one, that freedom, pacifism, has been brought and paid for you by warriors. We salute Americas military.
