Prospect UMC to host fish fry, singing, April 10
An old fashioned gospel singing and fish fry will he held at the Prospect United Methodist Church in Florien on Saturday, April 10.
Dinner on the grounds will begin at 5 p.m. followed by the singing at 6 p.m.
Fried fish plates will be sold in advance for $7 each. Proceeds will go to the Prospect Methodist Youth Group. To purchase plates, contact Nan Arthur at 318-623-4622 or any church member.
Admission to the show is free. Music will be provided by gospel groups from the area, including the church’s very own bluegrass group, The Prospectors, featuring Bo Stewart, Kelly Stewart, and Jodi and Greg Cole.
A great time of food and fellowship is planned as the youth raise funds for their projects.
The current lake level for Toledo Bend reservoir is 164.24 The top of the power pool is 172 ft.msl and bottom of the power pool is 168 ft. msl.
