NHS host Family Math and Science Night

he Science activity, Ocean in Motion, was enjoyed by third and fourth graders at NHS.

Over 100 students and parents attended Negreet High Schools Family Math and Science Night. The students were divided into three groups. The Pre-K - second grade students participated in creating tangram patterns and a food pyramid. Third - fifth grade participated in creating ocean motion, counting pennies the plus sign puzzle and toothpick squares. Students in grades sixth - eight participated in creating a groovy lava lamp, connect the dots, the plus sign puzzle and the penny triangle.

Refreshments were served and prepared by the Negreet High School ProStart students. Door prizes were awarded to one lucky person from each group. The evening was a huge success and was enjoyed by all who attended.

The current lake level for Toledo Bend reservoir is 164.25 The top of the power pool is 172 ft.msl and bottom of the power pool is 168 ft. msl.
