Janice Laurence

Funeral services for Janice Kay Laurence, 67, of Florien were held November 22 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Reverends Mike Henderson and Jason Kees officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Janice Kay Laurence was born on Saturday, July 23, 1949 in Pleasant Hill. She passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Willis Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice Johnson and Eula Mae Murrell Johnson; brothers, Butch Johnson and Calvin Dean Smith; and sisters, Johnnie Chism and Sandra Ford. She is survived by her husband, Frankie I.

Marion Lee Fowler

Marion Lee Fowler, born December 24, 1927 in Alva, Oklahoma, died in his home in Converse on November 14, 2016. Marion was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a barber for over 60 years and made many friends over the years. Marion was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was loved and respected by many hunting and fishing buddies. He is preceded in death by his parents William Alonzo Fowler and Pearl May; sister, Pauline Davis; and brothers, Clarence Fowler, William “Billy” Fowler and John Fowler.

Melissa Ross

Funeral services for Melissa Juanita Ross, 89, of Many were held November 23 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Paul Lewing officiating. Burial followed in the Beulah Cemetery. Juanita Ross was born on Tuesday, April 26, 1927 in Sabine Parish. She passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Toledo Nursing Center in Zwolle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd “Pat” Lewing and Maggie Durr Lewing; husband, William “Bill” Washington Ross; and her brother, Harold Lewing. She is survived by her sons, Michael Floyd Ross and wife, Rachael, of Many and James Gregory Ross of Alexandria; sister, Patsy Cooper of Lufkin, Texas; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, friends; and three dogs and two cats. AJ Cusimano

Mr. Anthony “AJ” Joseph Cusimano Jr., 77, of Florien went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 25, 2016. He was born on February 26, 1939, to Anthony Cusimano Sr. and Jennie Guzzino Cusimano in Lake Charles. Mr. Cusimano retired and relocated to the area two years ago. Mr. Cusimano loved to hunt deer and hogs as well as bass fish. Mr. Cusimano was a member of Pisgah Baptist church for one year and was baptized in June at Pisgah Baptist Church. He had been involved in Mission work in Alabama since 2005 with Thompson Chapel Assembly. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. Mr. Cusimano was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Cusimano Sr. and Jennie Guzzino Cusimano and son, Steven Cusimano. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Marion Garza Cusimano; daughter, Susan Delaney-Okey; grandchildren, Kristian and Katelyn. Visitation will be December 1, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Anthony “Wildman” Sepulvado, 46, of Noble were held November 25 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Ebarb with Father Richard Norsworthy officiating. Burial followed in the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Ebarb. Anthony “Wildman” Sepulvado was born on Wednesday, January 21, 1970 in Many. He passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Sabine Medical Center in Many. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Stevie and Ozella Sepulvado; maternal grandmother, Elaine Juzan; and maternal grandfather, Cloyd Montgomery. He is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Allison R. Sepulvado of Noble; daughters, Lynsy L Rivers and special friend, John Savoie, of Breaux Bridge and Haley D. Chuck Molber

Rodney “Chuck” Joseph Molbert, 70, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his residence in Many. He grew up in Rayne where he was very active in sports: boxing, basketball, and many others. He was proud of his military service in the Marine Corps, having served two tours with the Recon Division in Vietnam. Chuck worked for Reynolds Metals Company in Lake Charles and Reynolds International for three years in Africa alongside his wife Renee. After 30 years of service, he retired and moved to Toledo Bend. Some of his hobbies included fishing, boating, and a love for animals. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Renee Molbert; daughters, Kimberly Molbert Willard and husband, James, of Iowa, and Amy Molbert Enos and husband, Scott, of Baton Rouge; stepson, Kristopher Chelette and wife, Sara, of Dallas, Texas; along with six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Hardy Parker

Funeral services for Hardy Gene Parker, 51, of Florien, were held November 17 at Pisgah Baptist Church, Toro Community, with the Rev. Wilton Anthony officiating. Burial followed in the Pisgah Cemetery. Hardy Gene Parker was born on Friday, December 18, 1964 in Leesville. He passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his residence in Florien. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Brooke Whitney Parker; father, Jeanie Ray Parker; maternal grandparents, Fred and Elsie Dew; paternal grandparents, Fred Parker and Gladys Hilton Parker; and his grandparents, Andy and Ruth Ferkovich. Hardy graduated from Hornbeck High School in 1984. He then moved to Dallas, Texas and became a heavy-duty truck mechanic. Hardy enjoyed working out, lifting weights, running and riding his bike but he enjoyed spending time with his children more than anything. They were his life.

Joyce Andries

Joyce Major Andries, 86 of Baton Rouge passed away Tuesday November 8, 2016. Joyce, born in Ventress, was an active member of St. George Catholic Church. She led an exceptional life, touching many hearts and souls in her faith and fund loving spirit. Most important to her was being a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Claude Andries, Sr. and seven of her nine siblings. She is survived by her sister, Deana “Dee” Major Debetaz of Lake Charles; brother, James “Spike” Major of Ventress; children and their spouses, Robert C. Andries, Jr. and Julie, Yvette Andries Slocum and Wayne, John L. Andries and Diane, and Bryan D. Andries and Susan; and her “baker’s dozen” grandchildren, Adam Slocum and Sidney, Scott Slocum, Robert C. Andries III, Emily Andries, Rebecca Andries, Mark Andries, Eric Andries, Timothy Andries, Benjamin Andries, Madelyn Andries, Megan Andries, Matthew Andries, and Claire Andries.
