SOAK THE RICH

For years, Democrats have proposed to soak the rich. A familiar call from the Democrats is for the wealthy to pay their “fair share.” In fact, they do, but it makes good political chatter. If you were to examine the IRS data for 2021, it will show the actual facts which show that the top 1% of Americans reported 26.3% of the country’s adjusted gross income, while paying 45.8% of total income taxes. Is this not a “fair share” to President Biden? The truth is that the income tax is already steeply progressive. The top 10% of earners in 2021provided 75.8% of the revenue. In addition to plan, we get higher inflation and prices which we all feel, including gasoline, food and power. Same old story. “Don’t tax me, don’t tax thee, tax that man behind that tree.”

Notes from an Old Bible

1 Corinthians 15:35-38: “But someone will say “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?” Foolish one what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. And what you sow you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain. But God gives it a body as He pleases and to each seed its own body.” 42. So also, the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.’

CANCELLATION OF DEBT

President Biden’s student loan forgiveness measures is a bad thing for our country. It will surely bring him votes, but it is bad for our country. In addition to it making others pay this debt, it will send a bad signal to the borrower. The money was supposed to be used to assist a student in his/her education costs, but a lot of it was spent on things other than education, such as personal items, t.v.’s, and cars also.

Notes from an Old Bible

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23 We humans are complicated! Every one of us is unique and we all come from different backgrounds and certainly have different personalities. But with respect how God created us, we’re actually all the same. The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 that we were created with three parts—a spirit, a soul, and a body. Out of the three parts the spirit is our inmost part, the inner organ, that possesses God-consciousness, (John 4:24) “God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”

CHECKING THE MEDIA

We need to be very cautious of anything we hear from the media. It’s been proven very true this week how biased and prejudice some are. A good example is when NBC announced the hiring of Ronna McDaniel, the former head of the Republican National Committee as a news person. It was an effort to balance the news, but that’s not what the liberal media wants so they are protesting. They want you to know only the side of the left. NBC news personnel Chuck Todd demanded that the company apologize to viewers for Ms. McDaniel’s hiring. Many others are protesting. This resulted after seven days with her being terminated because they don’t want you to hear a balanced news.

Notes from an Old Bible

Luke 23:46-48: And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice “Father unto Your hands I committee My Spirit.” Having said this, He gave up the ghost. Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying “Certainly this was a righteous Man.” And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.

Jesus’ last words uttered from His lips- “It is finished” The point of our salvation was set. His life’s mission is fully accomplished—His word of completion spoken from a wooden tree----cross. His cry of triumph!! The unspeakable separation -the Son from the love of the Father. The obedient Son. Mankind had done what it could to this sinless One. Man being evil had done the vilest worst and hung Him on the cross to die. Satan also did what he could against Him, but His was the final victory!

$34 TRILLION DEBT

The United States currently carries a $34 trillion debt. President Biden is responsible for $6 trillion of that in just three years. He is the biggest spending president in history. If the citizens of the United States vote for Biden in November, they are inviting calamity. Last year Americans sent $4.44 trillion in tax dollar to Washington. That’s about $3 trillion less than Biden wants to spend in 2025. He is forecasting less than we will take in so taxes have got to rise. You must not get caught up in personal judgment of the candidates but look at the party and platform. President Biden is not facing reality and we are going to wake up with a real economic crisis.

Notes from an Old Bible

Two thousand years ago in the quiet of the morning, the breaking of dawn, in a small garden outside of the walls of the city over Jerusalem, a guard standing watch around a sepulcher. They were guarding a grave because there had been strange things happened three days before. Strange scenes had occurred in the sky, earth and heavens as the Man that called His name Jesus was crucified. Even in the temple! He said He would rise from the dead on the third morning. As the light began to break in the east, two women silently and sadly winding their way around tents that were pitched all around the city because of Passover, bringing spices to anoint the body. They loved this Man because of His goodness, his purity, and His compassion. The friends of this Man were very small. There had been curses upon Him as He hung on the cross. Curses from bystanders and soldiers and the people they cried “Away with Him, let His blood be upon us and our children”.

Social Security Matters

Ask Rusty – How Do I Withdraw My Application for Social Security? Dear Rusty: I will be 67 next month and reached my full retirement age in July 2022. My wife and I are discussing whether we should take Social Security now or wait until we are age 70 to get a higher benefit. I remember reading that you can start Social Security and, if not needed, pay it back within a year and then “reset” to get a higher benefit by waiting longer. Please describe the steps of this process to take now and repay the year’s benefits if we do not need them. Signed: Uncertain Dear Uncertain: Well, to exercise the so-called “do over option” (which is essentially withdrawing your application for benefits), you need to contact Social Security (1.800.772.1213 or your local SS field office) and request that your application for benefits be withdrawn. You can also download and complete form SSA-521 and deliver the same to your local Social Security office.

Notes from an Old Bible

Matthew 27:45 “Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.”

Crucifixion was considered the most brutal and shameful death. Most of the time it was used to punish religious and political agitators, slaves, pirates, murderers. People that had no civil rights. Rome did thousands of crucifixions according to Jewish historian Josephus. 3000 Jews in 7A.D. After the rebellion of Spartacus 6000 were crucified in one day.
